Privacy Policy

The app & your records

The current app keeps your life records on your device. This includes the identity and preferences you enter, writing, life events, people, paths, progress and photos you choose. These are used to display, organise, search and restore your personal chronicle.

No LIULI account, advertising service, app analytics service, automatic upload or background backup is used. We do not receive your local life records simply because you use the app, and we do not sell those records or use them for targeted advertising.

Photos, videos & permissions

The app receives only photos you select through the system picker and keeps local copies. The selected representation may contain embedded metadata. Your originals in Photos are not changed or deleted. Videos remain in your device library; LIULI stores references and factual metadata, not video originals in its archives.

Permission is requested when a feature needs it, such as access to a selected video, saving a photo to Photos or using Face ID. You can change permissions in iOS Settings. Denying permission can make the related feature unavailable.

Face ID is handled by iOS. LIULI receives the authentication result, not your face image or biometric template. App security credentials are handled locally using the device’s secure storage.

Exports & security

Core life records stay on your device. No account is required for core recording or manual backups; you choose whether to save an archive to an external service.

Export passwords encrypt document data, not photos or their embedded metadata. Photos can still be read outside LIULI.

Archives are saved by you. Saving to iCloud Drive does not confirm cloud sync has finished and is not automatic app sync.

An Analysis Copy contains the categories you choose. If you share it with an analysis tool or another recipient, that recipient can process the included information. Review your selection before exporting; LIULI does not automatically send it to an AI service.

An app password can be reset only while valid Face ID recovery credentials remain on that device. Recovery may become unavailable after biometric or security changes. Archive passwords cannot be reset or recovered through Face ID. Keep your file password safe.

Apple services and any storage or sharing provider you choose handle information under their own policies. Device or iCloud backups managed by iOS are separate from LIULI’s manual archive feature.

Website & support information

If you join the waitlist, we receive your email, any optional name and consent choice to send the updates you request. If you contact support, we receive your contact details, message and information you choose to include so we can respond and troubleshoot.

Wix hosts this website and processes form submissions and contact records. Email providers deliver support correspondence. These services may process technical information such as IP address, browser, request time and security logs to operate and protect the services. This is separate from your on-device app records.

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable terms and data protection arrangements. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and service security.

Language preference

The website follows your device language when supported. A manual choice is remembered in language cookies for up to one year. Choose Device language in the language menu to clear that preference and follow your device again.

A short-lived session cookie protects form submissions. It does not contain your email or message. Website cookies do not give us access to your app archive.

Website measurement

We use Wix Analytics to understand how visitors reach and use the waitlist. Our added events record only fixed labels for button clicks, form starts, validation, submission and results. They do not include your name, email, form answers or invitation code.

These added events run only on the production website when Wix’s current consent policy allows analytics. They also respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Sending a form works independently of these events.

Retention & deletion

Local life records remain on your device until you clear them. Settings → Start Over provides a confirmed reset of the active life record and LIULI’s stored photos. It keeps your app password, Face ID preferences and device display settings. This action is irreversible; keep a usable backup first if you want to retain your records.

Start Over does not delete originals in Photos, previously exported archives or copies saved with another provider. Manage those copies separately in Photos, Files or that provider. We cannot remotely retrieve or erase records that exist only on your device.

We retain website and support information for as long as needed to provide requested updates, resolve your request and meet applicable legal or security obligations. You can ask us to remove it or stop updates. Any information that must be retained for a legal obligation is limited to that purpose.

Your choices & contact

You can control app permissions in iOS Settings and choose whether to export or share an archive. To withdraw waitlist consent or request access, correction or deletion of information you sent us, email support using the address you used to contact us.

Depending on your location, you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection or a complaint to your local data protection authority. We may need to verify your request. Please do not send passwords, private life archives or sensitive photos.

Policy updates

We will update this page and its effective date when our practices change. Material changes will be explained here and, where required, brought to your attention or made subject to your consent before they apply.
